Indonesian Quake

Indonesia 1 October 2009 | 0 Comments

As rescue workers searched for survivors in the wreckage of a four-story school Thursday, Mira Utami’s mother clawed away, too  looking for the shoes missing from her daughter’s body. Mira was taking a high school English final when the quake hit, flattening the school in seconds and killing her a week before her 16th birthday.

“We had planned to celebrate … but she’s gone,” said her mother, Malina, weeping amid the wreckage where the barefoot body was found.

John Holmes, the U.N.’s humanitarian chief, set the death toll at 1,100, and the number was expected to grow. Government figures put the number of dead at 777, with at least 440 people seriously injured.

Behaviour, Blog, Indonesia 23 May 2009 | 0 Comments

Actually this is a little funny, I found this news from local newspaper, but its really like a surprised I also this news from the tumblr blogging, from this site soupsoup.

here is this quote from that site.

After Facebook, NU targets mobile phone calls between sexes

buyhercandy:

Many have been shocked to learn that 1,700 Muslim clerics of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) — the largest Muslim organization in Indonesia — have issued an edict banning communication between sexes using mobile phones, and online social networks such as Facebook. …

NU spokesman Abdul Muid Shohib said communication using mobile phones was prone to adultery, especially between the sexes.

“Communicating through mobile phones could lead to extramarital affairs,” Abdul told The Jakarta Post through his mobile.

The only communication allowed between different sexes is that which spreads Islamic teachings, he said.

“We have banned social networking such as Facebook, Friendster and others because they are not used to spread Islamic teachings, but for gossiping,” he said.

Superstars Of Dance

danceSuperstars of Dance begins on NBC at 9 PM, and when I try to reads and focused on it inconsistantly, I  just found one comment for this news in ones of the blog, here is the comentator said, “I have enjoyed  this fantastic dancing. The only problem that I have seen here with this program are the judges. They  seem to be very bias with certain countries. I was highly applaud at their judging with low scores to  some of the best performances that have performed compared to some that were just ok. example: USA,  South Africa and India. The judges that I feel that fall into this catorgy are Argentina, Australia,  South Africa and Ireland. The host of the show would have done a much better judging the show himself  because he knows critic when he see it. Very disappointed in the judging of this program “

I don’t know, becaused I’m not ones of the judge.

Firstly, according to my humble opinion, it just happend on the developing country only such as  Indonesia, Uh… imagine that our country join on that event. The judge bias to certain country, sounds  semm familiar in Indonesia, but its happend to int big international event such as Superstar Dance that  will be presented.

Corruption!, Who will takes the responsibilities?

Behaviour, Indonesia, Life 20 September 2008 | 0 Comments

Corruption!, Who will takes the responsibilities?

This is the hot issue in Indonesia, many peoples said that this is become a basic cultural, how can they say?, ones of the reason start from the empire era, in that time, there are a lot of royal empire in Indonesia, and one of the famous like Majapahit, Mataram, etc.

The one of the shape serve to the king is gift him the present, it could be crop, part of their lands or maybe they gift their girls as consort of the king without worrying. And this attitude continues to the present.

Now, it’s more complexity, together along with the modern life.

My friends said, “the good government seems like impossible to make it happened”, how can he said like that?, it’s make a sense when I seeing the recent news about the attorney general, and the corruption case with the solicitor general and the hottest happened with the KPPU case.

Ogh… I don’t know why and how it could be happened, attitude, morality or just the life style, confusing to find the way out, and confuse to continuous to post this topic. Hm…
