Since 6 hours now Google is showing a Barcode logo (doodle). Many people are asking what this mean. Well today 7th of October 2009 is the 57th years since the barcode was invented. The barcode doodle is now also being shown on Google.com since the last past hour.

About 6 hours ago, people in Japan, New Zealand and Taiwan started to see the new Google Barcode Doodle. The doodle appearance is well defined as here in Mauritius as I write this it is 08:37 AM and soon everyone west of Mauritius too will start seeing it.
