Million Dollar Mistery
A man named Philip Daggett claimed to win a big prize on TWO scratch tickets in Fall River and never claimed the cash. But has this man been in the news before?
One of the supposed prizes totaled $1,000, the next $1M. According to the Mass. Lottery, the 29-year-old Daggett has not turned in his tickets, and the convenience store where he reportedly bought the tickets has taken down the promotional signs saying that $1M had been won there.
Now, questions about Daggett himself are being posed.
Daggett has been arrested for making prank calls, calling the media to report his own heroic actions, in 2008 claiming he had given life-saving CPR to an infant.
In 2004, he told ABC6 that he tried to save victims of a car wreck. He also falsely reported that Taco Bell gave him food laced with cocaine.
Daggett was also a bartender at the New Bedford gay bar Puzzles and was present when a shooting took place at the establishment.
Dagget was unavailable when called for comment.
